Our MEC/NC have admitted fully their awareness that the TA does not meet the goal of “industry leading pay rates” for the 757 and 777 fleets. These fleets represent 38% of the seniority list. Those are the real numbers. Simply listing two fleets without mention of how many pilots are represented in those numbers is disingenuous at best and dishonest at worst.
38% of this pilot group will be paid industry worst rates for the equipment they fly. This means that they will not experience industry leading vacation value or retirement with the new plan.
As if Section 1 isn’t reason enough to return to the table, dignity in pay for work rendered should be.
We aren’t just trading our skills to reward shareholders, we are trading time away from our family and friends. Money can be made and lost but time can never be returned. What is your time worth? Is the time that you can never recoup worth that much less that your peers at DL/UA/AA?
Recall the 13 and return to the table.
