Default PSA Sleep Room etiquette

Please do not change the ring tone to some zen garden harp song in the sleep rooms. I, like many others, sleep like a tranquilized grizzly bear and need Chirp at full volume to rouse me from my slumber. If you change it, change it back please

Ouch….sounds like the beginning of a rough night…..reminds me of stumbling around blind in the old recliner area trying to figure out who among the snoring throng was my flying partner for the night

you know that you can change it back when you first get in to the room, right?

Default Some Unity

Boy I can just feel the vibes of brotherly love here…. I can see how unified we are….see,s like the OP was trying to let people know about an unfortunate incidence that happened to him. He provided a good heads up to those that didn’t know the sleep room alarm sounds could be changed. Instead of thanking him, or offer condolences, the response smacks of “screw you buddy….you’re an idiot and you’re on your own.” That milk of human kindness should not be lost on those depending on this crowd if this TA fails.

He literally told people to: not touch the alarm settings, and if they did, change it back in order to make his life easier. I’m not surprised your reading comprehension is so poor based on your other posts here. Also, don’t pull the “unity” card when our own union leadership is directly responsible for the rift among us right now. That’s completely unfair. Also, I, like many others, don’t sleep like a bear in hibernation and those loud rings wake me up from several doors down (especially during the second wake up attempt). I love the garden zen sound.

This was probably done by the same guys who unplug the company headset for their own special headset, then conveniently "forget" to plug the other one back in.

Since we're now on the subject of headsets: For those gentlemen amongst us that don't put the foam cover on your boom mic - shame on you...Can't hear a darn thing you're saying on freq. Nice lisp.
And for the audience, I have my own "special headset" and I will now conveniently "forget" to plug it back in.

My reading comprehension is fine…perhaps it’s a generational thing. A lot of people were taught that courtesy to others says that if you want to change something, have at it….but please put it back the way you found it. Perhaps the OP didn’t know the ringer could be changed …I never realized it could be changed…perhaps he was spreading a cautionary tail so others might be aware that is another thing to check when they “Preflight their own ****”….

If you need any proof about a pervasive selfishness growing in the crew force, you only need to look at the lockers put in place for temporary storage. Many have been adopted permanently by folks who put plastic chest of drawers and footlockers in there, full time use, denying others the opportunity to use them temporarily…that whole area looks like one of the homeless camps you see outside the short hotels in OAK.
