Yes, I read what you wrote. IIRC, and it was several years ago during Covid, the RFO who got the landing was trying to convince the FO to put in for it, and the FO was hesitant, saying "schedules didn't do that, you did".

These are the types of situations which the company notices and then fixes in the fine print, usually to the detriment of the entire crew force.

It didn't pass the smell test with me, I told them so, but he was going to try anyway. I don't know how it turned out.

My point is, if you bid RFO, don't expect to get any landings. RFO lines usually don't go junior.

If you are junior and need landings, put in for first fly, call the scheduler and tell them you need landings, or suck it up and go to the sim.

I have very little sympathy for anyone hired directly into the right seat of the 777 complaining about a lack of landings.

You sound absolutely miserable to fly with

yup and look at who flies the most extra now? It's all the post 2015 hires...you know, the "all in" crowd

You're extremely ignorant if you think that the LCP's wield all of the power. They do 2 months of Line Checks per year. That's it...

I personally have not flown any DFT in at least two years (probably much longer, but I didn't go back any further). Very little IOE has occurred in my fleet.

Not sure where you think that mighty leverage lies with group that you continuously single out. Very Unifying!

Give up your position like you ask them to. Vote with your feet and leave.

I didn't know the 777 had most of the post 2015 hires. Crazy 'cause they're leading the charge in Draft and VLT per Marty's podcast.

I think he was technically referring to the school house. The guys that work 25 days a month and somehow find gains and no concessions in their part of the contract. Now, if a significant amount of LCAs stepped down, as well as other helpful positions to the company, that would say something. But our LCA pay is more than laughable, so it’s not about the pay, but the status, for most of those folks unfortunately.

No concessions in section 11? Quick lesson on " how to show everyone I don't know what I'm taking about but will run my mouth anyway"....last I checked anyone on MSL can apply to be an instructor in the schoolhouse - you should definitely apply.

More ignorance on our contract. It is a disease on our crew force. I am sure you are up to date on the FB Jetflyers version though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Section 11 wasn't touched in TA 1.0. So no gains (or concessions) last time around. And according to the Negotiating Meeting Grid on fdx.alpa.org Section 11 isn't being talked about for TA 2.0. So, there won't be any changes to Section 11 whenever we see the new TA.

I can't believe we actually have bootlickers saying you shouldn't call the company and get two guys an extra 1.5CHs for an RFO/FO swap. How could you possibly be against that???? Probably an Air Force O-6

yes agreed. However. The company won’t pay it if it is a crew decision to swap seats.
