Default surveys

Personally, I would like to see more surveys. I’m thinking twice a week so as to get a comprehensive understanding of exactly what it is that the pilots want in a contract. Never mind the endless surveys beforehand, it’s a new day with fresh perspectives. Today, my concern is scope. Tomorrow, scooby snacks. Next week when the bills are due I would like industry average pay, seeing how we’re working more for less, which is to say that we have not enjoyed the fruits of our labor for what, five years now? On the days when my bones ache I’m hoping for a cost of living increase in retirement, because why should the suits have all the fun? Or how about per diem? yeah, thats the ticket! or how about a survey that asks the question: do we need more surveys? of course we do. because then we would feel important and involved.
I especially enjoy the surveys that ask leading questions, which bolster the NCs misplaced resolve on things like retirement and scope, the good old days.
or, we could stop wasting time and money on things we already know. It’s not that complicated. If our leaders feel the need for action, how about twiddling their thumbs? Or maybe flying the line? better yet, figure out a way to unite the crew force. rogue agents are … weak links. Unity = industry-leading contract. Without unity, our fruit is rotten.

welp, gotta run, folks. it’s that time of year again when I pop the corn and drink the kool aid whilst enjoying a company-wide video on ethics. The last one should have won the oscar for best short film in comedy.

Complain/ramble on about it all you want. The last TA was clearly not what we were expecting. The MEC and the NC was out of touch and the new leadership doesn't want to make the same mistake. If you think it's a waste of time to give your feedback, don't answer their call.

There was polling all throughout the lead up to and during the failed TA1 negotiations done by the same outside polling group that is conducting the current ones. The fact is that it was the hourly pay rates pay rates at UA and DL that got everyones attention which caused TA1 to fail.

just the pay rates, huh? not to mention every other aspect of their contracts (and to be honest, their previous contracts) that are far superior to the FDX CBA.

There will always be weak links. We are united. We stand behind our leaders. Polling proves our resolve and unity to our leaders and management. Polling clarifies what will be ratifiable.

Respectfully, your post is divisive.

The polling *never* asked if we were willing to compromise/sacrifice in QOL/work rules, scope, pay rates, retro pay, and all the other contract areas for a singular advancement in the A Plan.

Hi, Hack. You're correct. That was never asked of me when previously polled.
Is that "directly" being asked now? Honest question as I have not been polled since the new NC and MEC took over.
Keeping the faith,

If our leaders can’t read the room, we are clearly screwed … again!

The most ironic thing, is that if we had a decent contract with competitive compensation, we would make the same if not more by simply flying our BLGs/RLGs.

Alas, our peers can’t help themselves and never could.
