Do you really think junior guys are worried about furlough right now?

I need to examine my life choices. First I work at FDX. Secondly I just read 10 pages of this thread and was absolutely certain that at some point it would transition to useful information (or at least conversation).
I did get the impression though that time has softened many people's memories of just how insulting TA 1.0 was in the environment that existed at that time (every other airline negotiation resulting in historic gains and FDX making historic profits)

Merle, If you expected more out of social media during negotiations then you should realign your expectations. After we get a contract and everything settles down maybe more useful information will get posted. However I am sure those that do not get what they want will complain until the next negotiations.
Need to focus on TA2 and how to get improvements that we all want. Worrying about how bad TA1 was is like worrying about the preflight mistake you made on your checkride and letting it distract you for the rest of the ride.

Confession - I am a joke too because I was completely ignorant to how inept the MEC was prior to TA 1.0.
The best part? They made a little chat group to run their mouthes on a daily basis. They should just crawl back under their training department and management rocks and go away.

Forgetting would be stupid.

It’s time for guys to have an attitude adjustment here. We need to be pi$$ed off. No more nice kid gloves. Guys need to bring an attitude to work that this place sucks and they’re going to make it worse. Cowpoke said he wants to be like UPS well they’re TEAMSTERS. U think DRAFT and HELPING the company are things the TEAMSTERS would tolerate? Nope. They wouldn’t. And there would be consequences. So keep skipping into work and help out. 5 years. Wake up!

Cowpoke did not say he wants to be like UPS. And Cowpoke doesn’t agree with much that you post. But I understand your sentiment and share your frustration. Mostly, I’m pretty ****** over my family subsidizing the extra work being done here during 4a2c. And I’m pretty over the majority of the pilot group tolerating it.
Ok Cowpoke we’re seeing more eye to eye. Bring that $hit to work and make more people understand. The “I’ve got my LtCol retirement and VA Disability to help me” attitude doesn’t cut it. And I’m not saying this is you Cowpoke but it’s certainly the mentality for a lot of guys. Wake up and see that ur savings are being depleted and your disability and retirement and being exploited by a company that cares about corporate savings and corporate bonus. We are getting attacked. Respond accordingly. Your families are being exploited. You want to stay home? Drop your schedule and stay home. But if you need to work to support your family and sustain your career then work for it. Right now we can’t because the COMPANY says so. Let the company know how you feel by NOT lifting a finger for them. Fly the contract. Make them revise ur sked and fix everything they just blew up. Send insites. Email the supposed fleet managers that support you. Make them know this place sucks if they don’t already know.
