How is removing the NC chair and vice chair going to get us a TA faster? Sounds like there are lots of upset pilots today and the possibility of reps being recalled just sky rocketed. Once that gets sorted out then the MEC will have to announce a vacancy for the NC chair, accept resumes, interview candidates, and vote on a new chair. Then the new committee will have to be trained, take the time to review the history of our negotiations, and chart a new path forward before negotiations resume.
In 2024, it took approximately 6 months from the time a new chair was announced before we were back at the table. If reps are recalled this quarter, then my expectation is no sooner than between 6-9 months, at the earliest, before negotiations resume. I’m not holding my breath that we will get a TA by the end of 2026.
What an absolute train wreck this union and our negotiations continue to be. I bet the executives popped a bottle of champagne last night and laughed their butts off at us.

Sorry but the NC gets its orders from the MEC. Plain and simple. Clearly the issue isn’t JG…it’s the MEC. I have yet to see a recall or a secret deal vote while other members are out of town or unavailable within the NC. Their comms have been outstanding. Their path steady.
Meanwhile over at the MEC it is nothing short of a Dumpster fire.
They art more committed to their individual interests and bickering then they are in getting us a ratifiable contract. Meanwhile we all work for significantly less. It is a disaster and will continue to be so unless the leadership and direction of our MEC changes.

You mean the FPL approved by the S/T (one of CT's lackeys) and MEC Chairman and the FPL that said rep as agreed to Association Fly Back? That FPL?

But the old-MEC own the decision to send out a seriously flawed TA. And the delay a failed TA will inevitably bring. And the 9 months following to get a change in direction with new NC and MEC.
Worse, now you (and the rest of the 12-angry-yes-voter-pilots in the screaming minority) own everything from yesterday on. Serious congrats on the coup. But own it. And own the results: will it be a concessionary TA1.1 that comes out, gets rejected (again), and adds YEARS following that will make post TA1.0 look like a minor delay. OR will it be massive turmoil brought when the new-new MEC (aka 7 off-rampers) gets all or many of themselves recalled, and the delays that brings.

EMB: True. That MEC (the new-old-MEC?) has to own that sh!tty decision. And the complete lack of progress since then. So maybe 16-17 months of CPAPs and ice and not much else. No argument there.

Are you still arguing that there was some secret eye-watering all-dreams-answered company proposal just waiting to be released and the new NC scotched it by asking for release, and despite face to face talks, its still in some secret underground vault?
This is going to hurt, but someone has to say it.

What I said was the request for release was advised against by ALPA National and many, many attorneys, yet The 8 (now 5) proceeded anyway and that sidelined us 14 of the 18 months since the new MEC and NC took over. Those are facts and they are undisputed.

After PM sunk us after 2 years of what? Talk about a snow job. We held all the leverage and power then. And I was on track for Capt in days. Right Max88Doof?
