As a newer ish pilot to the force, I have to say that the AVA recently has been a decent bump to what are pathetic, industry trailing 2021 pay rates. I am not flying extra, but much of it is at time and a half and it all helps.
I just caught some information on the other threads about 25.N.4.c.
"C. A pilot shall not submit for any AVA assignment on a day(s) formerly covered by a trip for which the pilot was scheduled and subsequently removed via bid line adjustment as provided in Sections 25.L.3.a."
Am I reading this right that PM agreed to limit our consumption of AVA to half the month? Our line becomes an automatic drop footprint? What the F was this guy thinking? Has this been discussed with our new Negotiating Committee? What are they saying about this? I am going to submit a DART. This is INSANE. This is in the very back of the contract and many people have likely not seen it. Any color?

Work rules matter.....
.....and TAs 2023, 2015 and so-on gave up super-valuable work rules and contract provisions that allow the company to pay for the increases to our hourly rates without having a noticeable impact to their labor cost.
Remember... "you have to give something to get something!"
The company is not going to adjust your hourly rate higher to account for inflation or all the money you earned for them during covid, even if they are making billions more by raising the shipping rates that they charge to customers, not without taking something from you first. That extra revenue you made for them is to pay management and shareholders, not employees like you!
Maybe if we had a functional pilot group/union instead of a bunch of "the company will never go for that" types like Tuck, EMBFlyer and Max8222 and Stan446 - Where is that guy anyway? - we might then see increases to pay AND work rules like the other airlines in this business instead of the FedEx way of work rules being surrendered to finance hourly rate increases.
Big respect to the guys nearing retirement who did the right thing and voted no to save this pilot group to fight another day, even though they could have easily voted yes, grabbed the meager pension increase, and let this place burn even hotter in their rear view mirror. We owe you.

Says it all right here “I am not flying extra, but much of it is at time and a half and it all helps.”
I you are flying time and a half it is because the company needs bodies for that trip. They would pay double time to make it happen. Glad to see you are helping the company and not the NC. Same excuse I heard a million times from FO’s during COVId. I am making them pay by flying drop for draft. A sucker born every minute.

2.) Yes, this gem is horsesh!t. But are you not aware that it is actually an improvement over failed TA1? Did you not realize it was there as well (and worse)? (Btw, I most likely will be voting NO because of this.)

They're begging you to fly. They need help. And yes we are in a labor dispute and you are helping management. So glad you have time to read TA23. Wake up man. Throw some stones at some names. You're the one who lives in the glass house of lies.

The bottom line is, this language is trash, concessionary, and it wasn't in there in 2015. Wake the fk up.
