So, is there a penalty for being smart, or good?.

Couldn't they could simply ask during the interview. It's their sandbox. Since they obviously felt Mr. RST's program crossed some kind of line, it doesn't seem like a big stretch for them to frown on candidates using it. As a minimum, maybe the doc would want to attempt to correlate test results with RST use to confirm it is as unbeatable as he claims.

However, I don't know that, hence my original question. If I were pursuing a job here, that would be something I'd want to be fully informed about before I opted to use those services. If there are new hires in BI who chose RST after it's owner was fired then I'm obviously off base. I thought there might be some folks out there who could offer some data points.

Hearing rumors here in Hong Kong that the USPS living in the USA requirement is about to be dropped at FedEx?
Anyone else hearing this?

I certainly understand the thought, however if they only hired people who testified they did not use RST, they would be stuck with literally about 2% of their applicant pool. The service is THAT prevalent. I think they are professional enough as a company to understand that we will do anything to be prepared for this interview. RST covers the computer-based testing on day one and not the in person interviewing on day two. And for what it's worth, I interviewed after he was fired, they did not directly ask anyway, and I got the job. With regard to ECIC, they tell you several times that I know you have prepped and more than likely hired a prep service. If you give an answer that sounds too canned, they will stop you or ask more probing questions. They want to get to know the real you. Have an idea of the information you want to convey, but don't make it sound like you are reading off cue cards.

I think it is the nuance of "they" that is in play here.

According to posts here on APC regarding the situation, the objection to RST's product did not come from anyone in Flight Ops, rather from somewhere else in corporate in response to a legal infringement gripe from Cognitive Research.

Is there any evidence that the pilot hiring people have a problem with it?

You give up what?

My post was essentially supporting your position, so I'm not following your exasperation with the conversation.

I've done two prep services, ECIC and another no longer in business. Neither endorsed or gave canned prepped answers to questions.

In fact, ECIC went out of their way to point out that they would not be giving answers to particular questions, but how to say your answers to particular questions.

I think people should be very careful posting on here, especially if you're a new hire. It may have changed, but when I went thru, we had to sign non-disclosure agreements about the testing and interview scenarios.

If it is alright, I'd like to go back to the foreign domicile topic.

I am hopeful for an interview invite soon, and my wife and I are very interested in the Cologne base. Would anyone have any idea where most of the FedEx pilots are living in CGN? I've heard a lot of them live close by to each other and it has a pretty good close knit group feel. I would just like to know what area of CGN they are in.

I've been a long time lurker, sometime poster....mostly lurk. Hoping for my invite soon.

Those who've been invited recently, was it a phone call from Memphis or an email?

Thanks

The interview invite was an email.
