Anyone know if.... 1, FedEx is paying for hotel room/airfare for the interview? 2, Hotel/airfare during training? Thanks

No, no, and **** no. Trips to MEM are on your dime, and training pay is $2000 a month before taxes and deductions.

How does any company get away with not providing lodging during initial these days?

By having thousands of candidates still put in an application.......and guys on property refuse to use equity during contract negotiations to make someone's life (who they haven't even met and doesn't work here yet) better....in the future.

If we were all on the same page, guys at the bottom would get draft calls. There aren't many closer to the bottom than me and I haven't received a nonpeak draft call......ever.

You can't count on it, but sometimes the company trains (simulators) offsite. If that happens, your hotel and transportation are paid by the company.

.

You mean like when The FDX Pilots refused to allow new Hires to fall under a different retirement in the contracts of 2006 and 2011? ;)

Or when we lived under 4 A 2 b for almost 2 years when the Company threatened a Furlough? Sounds to me like the Junior folks Life and those not hired yet was better than the alternative.

Don't feel too bad. I'm near the top of my seat and I have never received a draft call. Peak or not peak.
