It is impressive and curious that 75% or more of this person's (and similar Wolf Pack members) trips are XTRA or AUG, with some incredible deadheads and layovers...

My curiosity on how they do this also extends to two things: a) How do they know this incredible trips are going to drop into open time? You'd have to LIVE your life refreshing open time to keep picking up the trips depicted. And b) How does one have their schedule and life open to constantly pick up these trips? I understand you can contingency drop, but still. Or, do they drop the entire month and just wait for these trips to come into open time? Still doesn't seem plausible. Unless, of course, the possibility they are somehow recycling OTP, dropping everything each month, and leaving a general make-up request in there constantly as has been speculated...

I've never exactly figured out how this "Wolf Pack" scam works but ...

Many years ago I flew with a Captain who admitted that he paid schedulers that called to assign him DRF trips. I wonder who those schedulers called first?

I also know several pilot who used to meet schedulers after work at a local "watering hole" and buy them drinks. Do you think those schedulers would ever call their "buds" first?

In more than 20 years at FedEx the only Draft Trips I've ever been called for have been trips that were away over Christmas. I've never missed a Christmas at home. I make a point of bidding that week off!*?

I suspect some (most I hope) schedulers are good, hard working honest people (in my vest Donald Trump voice). I suspect these coincidences might be related.

What say you?

Not on the bus, that's for sure. We get a rare charter every blue moon, and it's usually not a particularly great deal anyways.

I agree with you. I think it's possible on the 777 to get these because no one checks open time, too little of it & a waste of time. Just looking at his schedule, you can have it. Too many hub turns over the last few months. Anyone willing to do that many hub turns can have the DHs occasionally. Just my .02.
