You can flow through Peak/New Years as one big block. No more flow back vacations or expand back to get time off in Dec. Off the top of my head, that's what I would do with it if I were building the schedule.

P.S. If I was them, I'd do exactly the same thing too.

I think it's cool that it's now safe (assuming the TA passes) to fly augmented crews in our 767 with no rest facilities as long as the company pays a penalty and gives you a 36 hour layover somewhere in your trip.
Yup, that's in there too:
Company will pursue FAA approval of an enhanced rest environment on B767. Any augmented duty
periods on B757 or B767 aircraft lacking such will require enhanced sleep opportunity (ESO) of 36 hours
(12.D.1.h.)

It is legal now, at least we get the 36 hours. Rest facility not required under 12 hours.

What happened to that idea? Did we get a lav in the cockpit instead? Maybe it was bundled with an adequate amount of simulators?

I think it's totally great that I'll be flying 3 legs for about 9.5-10 hours block in a 757/767 and sitting in an upright Jumpseat when it's my turn to rest as long as I have that 36 hour layover at the end of the trip before they deadhead me to MEM which they expect me to deviate on anyway....
