Oh wait, weren't you a big/active supporter of the PPF?

But that's just how I see it. Of course, 10K/day is pretty sweet no matter how you do the numbers.

But, it was advertised as a raise! As in, a 16% raise+/-. That's not a raise, even Tony and FDXLAG might agree to that.

Hey, that was a long time ago, and I barely remember (as I said). The point was, I didn't think we just lost one credit hour of vacation pay for nothing. Or did I remember wrong, and we did?

ex. $100/hr x 7hrs= $700
$117/hr x 6hrs= $700
Then they added the (small) pay raise on top of that. I no longer have a copy of the 1999 T/A to reference.
We also went from an average BLG (4 week) of 84 to 72.

I seem to remember some kind of formula used that first adjusted the pay rate from 7 to 6 and then adjusted for the raise.
ex. $100/hr x 7hrs= $700
$117/hr x 6hrs= $700
Then they added the (small) pay raise on top of that. I no longer have a copy of the 1999 T/A to reference.

And really, why would we be satisfied with the 75th percentile, in the first place?

They were just waiting for our T/A to come out so they could blame FDX ALPA for whatever they don't like in their own T/A. I think about it quite often as I'm sipping 21YO Macallan on Emirates, looking down on a Brown 747 jammed full of D/Hing UPS pilots.
There's a hell of a lot more to a T/A than pay rates.
Oopps, my mistake. they only serve the 15YO in Business on Emirates.

The point, is that they used the 7hrs to 6hrs to get our "hourly pay rates" above the 75th percentile. Basically, a loss of 16-17% in my book. From where we were supposed to be, if our 7 hr rates would have remained in the 75th percentile.
And really, why would we be satisfied with the 75th percentile, in the first place?

I sincerely wish the best for both pilot groups. Especially for their own individual, unique needs.
