Which guy is Leo?
I think it's the bodybuilder.
Of course, it's just a movie and movies aren't reality.

You can get pretty personal hiding behind your anonymity. So you want to identify me but keep yourself hidden. Talk about passive aggressive.

Oh that hurts.

You're taking this very personal. Everyone, this is business and this man is taking it very, very personal.

Man up and tell us who YOU are. Fanatic. You vote how you vote I'll vote how I'll vote. One of us is normal well adjusted and doesn't give at rats ass how the other votes.

I will admit you amuse me.
Not much, but a little.

I don't care who either of you are. If you would like to stay anonymous, on an anonymous internet forum, that should be your choice. Trying to "out" people is creepy.

I guess if there's nothing that you can argue besides attacking others, you've run out of arguments.

I wonder if proctologists have industry leading benefits in the medical world? If not, they probably should. But at least in our profession, who you work with and who you work for would trump a lot of other benefits for me. Especially if I choose to work in China.

Option 4. Living in China. Many would choose to live where they want, especially when you have 60 days in one block off.

5. Flying into crappy Chinese airports, There is a good deal of International non-Chinese domestic flying also ie Singapore, KL, Bangkok, Japan, Korea.

6. Flying with Chinese FO's. Yes and many are excellent pilots.

7. Working for Chinese management. Yes and many are excellent buisnessmen.

8. Did I say living in China?!
Again, your choice on the commuting option you choose.

Well, considering we don't know the work rules, it is tough to make a comparison. But let's try.

First, you said $25665 per month net. So that is after taxes are paid to both China and the U.S.????

Now, let's look at the TA. A HKG Captain will make $286.67 per hour plus an override of $10 per hour. The standard is 1000 hour/year. that comes to an average of $24,772 per month in wages. Add the housing allowance and you come up with $29,222 per month. No per diem added yet, no other extra pay. The education allowance is $15000 per year max, $1000 less per year than what you claim.

So, let's compare monthly wages. Last time I checked, $29,222>$25,665.

So which China based pilots would be industry leading?

Check out option 2, what a great deal. 22 days on, 8 days off. $24,655 total compensation per month, including $166 medical insurance reimbursement. We make more for working half of that, but you get to live in China!

I don't really mean to mock the options, because in today's flying environment, it's a pretty good deal. Just not something I want us to strive for.
