Trip revised with no recourse? Fly it.

Base replacement? Fly it.

VTO preference ignored and given to someone junior? Fly it.

Bid award cancelled? Tough.

Pairing disputed? Send it to the VP. Fly it.

Trip frozen? Went to the same five guys? Too bad.

Earlier time stamp? Max open exceeded? Sorry.

Reserve trip should have gone to someone else? Fly it.

Contract inadequate? VOTE NO!!!

We have finally come to a situation in which we have a voice. Don't let the inertia of this place prevent you from using it. If the contract is not to your liking YOU CAN SPEAK UP WITH A NO VOTE.

pipe, you pretty much hit most of the day to day QOL issues NOT addressed in this TA, other than with 1.5CR sprinkled here and there (which BTW, will be less than DRF pay in most cases).

Vote NO, or wait 6-10 years to get these things fixed... the choice is easy, IMO.

What's the problem? At least the company said sorry in one of your scenarios.

The thing that really chaps my a$$ about "our" contract is this:

I am very senior in my seat and don't often deal with any of these issues. I'd love to bid something else, but the pain that comes with being less than about 40% in seat under our contract is way too high. Sadly, the new TA addresses none of the issues and even makes VTO worse.

The problems that I listed don't need to exist, but they continue unabated in the TA. The real raises live in the ability to upgrade and be junior without a complete decimation of QOL. I'm not talking about picking destinations, layover length, holidays off - I get it, when you're junior it comes with the territory. I'm talking about indentured servitude vs. valued employee. <55% in seat = indentured servitude.

True.
Erosion of seniority and gains in scheduling/futures flexibility.
Just a cog in the wheel folks.
Get used to it.
It's alive and well in the TA.

Don't like it once implemented?
Grieve it.
Good luck with that my friends.
Our grievance record is atrocious.

This TA was supposed to tighten language and further restrict the CRS reindeer games. Instead, you can drive a pretty FedEx truck trough the holes in the work rules. Oh, but wait ... there MIGHT be a 1.5 CH bump for you.

Are you serious? That's peanuts and BS. Your QOL is far more valuable. Like a tsunami, you can't see it until it's on top of you but it's coming. Think you're tired and beat up now? Look harder at Section 25.

like to see the pairings where 1.5CR Isn't less than draft,
but the 3 CR layover disruption either equals draft pay or it's damn close.

I've been on more than one DH where the airline scrambled up a crew w/a revised pairing. Anyone know if they get a little extra for teh effort?

I'd like to see 200% pay for disruptions. A TRUE incentive for the company to NOT disrupt.

Hey, Fedex Ethics training say's that "People are our most IMPORTANT RESOURCE". They wouldn't twist the rules, not follow the contract and lie to us!! That is just not right. Fedex couldn't treat their employee's like this, could they??
