What would have happened with a NO vote?

Would not the negotiating team have been completely dismantled?

We would be calling for all the yes advocating union leaders to step down, true?

Numerous previos posts advocate/predicted this.So why is not reciprocal?

How about a big thank you to everyone involved in this. I think there was not one stone left unturned in the analysis of this contract, as it should be.

I second that! No more interpretation bs. Let's actually grieve and get a judgement (good or bad)!

While we are at it, lets fire all of the folks who voted no also. That way, next time we negotiate something, the Company can gives us less.

And maintain self respect? The irony.

Agreed thank you all. But that's it no victory party on our dime.

Would you really have felt better if the MEC voted 100% in favor?

Would it have made this TA Better if it rarified at 70%.

Just like Freedom of Speech, Democracy can be a bi##h sometimes.
The TA passed, it is over. Time to move on.

Take your own advice, Don't Gloat.

The real reason they should step down is they voted unanimously to end negotiations then whipsawed and immediately began viciously attacking the TA before anything was out about it .........no print copies, no roadshows nada.............it seems to me this duplicitous tactic was planned all along..........JMHO

Absolutely untrue. The vote to finish negotiations was 9-5. The
NC then finalized language and the vote from the MEC was 10-4 to pass the TA to a pilot vote.

None of the MEC reps who voted no posted anything on the message lines until the electronic version was posted for everyone.

This all happened from August 17th onwards so my memory is good. No revisionist history here.
