For the record, FlyBoyd sent me a nice PM with a contrite apology for his post, which he has deleted. If I could still edit my post above, I'd delete any references to the post he deleted, but it's past the time limit for doing that. I want to thank him for reaching out to fix it.

Anyway, all is good. I hope everyone who wants to find the parking lot in question can find it with no trouble. Welcome aboard.

Type in Portia St Memphis, TN and you will see where the confusion started.

That was your only mistake: using Apple map products!

I always get lectured for using that, too. Sometimes I end up in the middle of open land, looking for a Starbucks.

Thanks everyone for the information. I have looked on Google Maps (satellite view) and can see the entrance, road, and pickup huts that Tony had mentioned. Just hoping now that the guard is up to speed with allowing offliners into the lot without issue (can be difficult to resolve in the middle of the night).

I didn't mean to cause issues among posters with the question and glad that calmer heads prevailed.

We have off liners jumpseating every night. Not sure where they all park but I'm sure many park at this location. Shouldn't be a problem. Glad we can help out.

If it makes you feel better, although Tony didn't deserve the slam for that particular post, he earned it for MANY prior posts, and it did give me a good laugh

I value Tony's posts. He might be a curmudgeon sometimes, but he brings a lot to the table. He's usually very well researched and has a good memory. Sometimes he's wrong--but we all are sometimes.

Jumpseat question. Why are 777 guys slow or fail to respond with Capt permission for HKG - Mem leg? I know it is a pain to have jumpseaters when you have two RFO's but we're on the same team, we'll stay out of the way.

Maybe they just don't check their email or don't want to access PFC when they're on a layover for fear of what CRS may have in store for Revision 8 of their trip.
