Default Vacation buyback

If my max vacation buyback is 69:36 and I finish the year with 80:00 due to no other reason than failing Bidding101, is the extra 10:24 rolled over to next years bank, or forfeited?

But you do have the option between now and the end of the year to bid a secondary line. During the view/add for that month you could request to apply 12 CH from your vacation bank to your secondary line. That would put you below the limit so you don’t lose out getting paid for those hours. No requirement to actually have a vacation period in that bid month.

Adler is correct.

One of the good changes. I've used that feature. They didn't have to approve my request to use my vacation hours in a Secondary line during which I didn't have vacation, but they did.

Another good change in Secondary lines is the ability to erase your vacation footprint. This is unrelated to your question, however.

Is this for real? I've got 80 of vacation to sell back at the end of the year and you're saying I could bid a secondary in December and tell them to apply the 80 hours to my line so I only work 1 day? Even without having any vacation periods left in the year? If that happens, I may invite the last negotiating committee to my house for Christmas dinner.

It is subject to approval.

I doubt approval would be approved in any month when they are buying back vacations in your seat. So I doubt it would be approved in any seat in December.

I have found it helpful.

You can REQUEST them to apply the hours, not tell them to. They can say NO!

If back chance you’re a mil reservist and still drilling you can use VAC to pay your MLA and clean that up a bit. Just tossing that out there if someone here could benefit.
