Ippudo (the same noodle shop near the Swissotel "the red lantern") has a restaurant a short walk from the Hilton. The concierge will be able to give you a better map than I could give you directions.

Take escalator down to subway level, exit by the Tully's coffee shop continue straight across to tunnel heading away from Hilton. Continue a short way until you come to a T. Turn right, (McD's if you turn towards the left) Noodle shop is first of a few shops on the left. Has good noodles, gyoza, beer and English menu. Good service and large enough to be served about anytime.

Don't go under ground in Osaka, you'll regret it. Crews have been lost for hours under there. Disoriented for sure, but not hungry, at least if you have some yen. When you finally pop out of the rabbit hole, you will have no idea where you are. Make sure you have Maps2Go or some other phone app and Be sure to have put a star on the hotel be fore you go out. Enjoy your noodles
