On Boarding
With FlexJet planning on two Indoc Class per month thru the end of 2021, this would be a good time to make On Boarding a post. Training schedule, hotel, rental car, uber or shuttle, etc? When are you given your aircraft assignment? Any insight from those who have recently completed the process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is info I have compiled from 3 guys I know that have all started there within the last year
1 week of Indoc in Dallas. You find out your airframe (Phenom/Praetor/Challenger) either day 1 or 2(apparently there's a way to find out as soon as you get your ipad in there, but not sure). Start learning your plane then, Indoc is pretty simple. Rental provided and I have heard 1 meal per day comped and also 3 meals, not 100% sure. Pay is 14 days plus per diem. You'll have a few days off and then head out to STL, MCO or back to DFW for your specific aircraft. Interviewers said anywhere from 2-4 weeks training depending on airframe. Another block of several days off before staring IOE. Also was informed most of your actual training occurs during OE as you learn the operation, since the sim/classroom portion focuses more on your type ride.

We didn’t get our iPad until day 1 of indoc, so no way of finding out early. We found out aircraft day 1. They put it in your name card.
Unless it’s change in the past couple months, all 3 meals paid for.
As far as days off after indoc, depends on aircraft. Phenom and challenger seem to be going to mco so you will have 1 day of travel. For the praetor, if you stay in DFW, you will start that Monday after indoc is over. Which means 4 straight weeks with only 3 days off.
I did have 10 days off after FlightSafety before OE.

You will not need to worry about paying for food (meals may be expensed and you get per diem). Usually one rental car given for every 2 new hires. Hotels during training will normally be a suite-type with kitchen.
After DFW Company Indoc & Part 135 you will be sent for aircraft specific type rating. The preferred training locales are MCO and DFW but its all based on course availability. STL is possibility for Praetor also. Flexjet is in the process of building a training center in partnership with SimCom in MCO but not operational yet.
Plan on at least 3-4 weeks straight but it could be broken up. Recent new hire friend had 5-7 days off at home after each phase. YMMV!

Question about the rental cars: If you're going to MCO or STL for sims, are you provided a rental there as well? Or is it just during Indoc?

From a few friends that have gone through within the past month.
2 days virtual Indoc on Zoom (Th/Fr) then head to Dallas that Sunday for 6 days of Indoc Mon-Sat. Challenger/Legacy crews stay for an extra day for an oceanic plotting course. Assignments are given on day 1 when you show up (they're on your name tag.) Rental cars provided and you share with 1 other person in Indoc. All meals expensed on company card. Type rating in either STL, DFW, or MCO. The guys I know that went through recently went straight from DFW to their type rating course but said a couple people in their class had up to a week off where they went home before going to type rating, but that was the exception not the rule. Company says on Zoom Indoc to prepare to be gone for a month. Said fleet assignments were divided up pretty evenly among their classes.
