.

Unless something's changed, don't they operate under 91k AND 135? Or did the jet card/charter program go away?

The Challengers use the standard 2-plug setup so don't get the 5-pin LEMO plug version like the Phenoms and Praetors use. I always use Bose QC35 with the uFlyMike adapter because out of all the headsets I've used in my career, I find them the most comfortable and easy to deal with. Plus, you can disconnect the boom mike and go back to using the headphones as designed while commuting. The rechargable battery in the QC35 and 45s last for days before recharging.
I also carry Bose Proflights (in ear) for spare, but not a big fan of those. I'm constantly fiddling with the earpieces and they suck batteries down after about 20 hours of use. If I could return them, I would. Not worth anywhere near the $1200 Bose charges, but they do sound good and have bluetooth so there's that.
Don't waste time with older Telex 850s either. I have a set of those at home, but they're great dust collectors for now.

I have both the Bose Proflight 2 and the Quiet Technology tube/wire headsets. The Bose is great but doesn't seem to want to stay in place. The quiet tech tube with sponge earplugs (after market on Amazon) works great for me. Bluetooth is good. The only thing to watch for is the volume control on the small box have small wheels to adjust L and R independently. One side can be turned down to zero accidentally. The first time it happens, you'll go down some rabbit hole trying to find a complex fix for a simple problem. Lol.

Random question: is there an internal way to transfer from the European ops to the US side?
(provided that one has the right to live&work in the US without sponsorship by the company)

NetJets operates all flights under 135 as 91K is more restrictive in regards to duty. The way FlexJet gets to do 16 hour duty days is the last 2 hours can be a 91 repor as this is not regulated. At NetJets, our CBA limits us to 14 hours and with the non-large cabin fleets that get 30 minutes postflight, we can pull the plug if we don't land at 13 hours 30 minutes. However, this has not prevented the company from asking us to go over, and with overtime after 12 hours, some pilots will gladly do this

I've been at Flex for six years and have never done a 16 hour duty day. I've done a few 14 hour duty days because of ATC or weather circumstances that paid double overtime. I've been asked once if i was willing to go to 16 hours, but rejected it. No repercussions whatsoever. Contrary to rumors you may have heard, they don't constantly push us beyond 12 hours. Most days are shorter than that.
