Been hearing some talk recently of recalls maybe toward the end of summer. Any active FlexJet pilots out there think that there is any merit to this?

i heard from a captain that 20 guys were being recalled later this summer because scheduling is having trouble covering aircraft. I am curious how many will not come back and I am also curious if guys that have not flown since they were furloughed will be asked to come back. Since the official recall rights have expired--Flex could be really picky with the recalls.

I'm guessing a majority will probably return, based on the Flex85 poll. Currency will NOT be a factor. If you were a perpetual malcontent, that's another story.

I wonder if it will be a full scale interview process, or just a catch up interview (how ya doin) before they are brought back on property?

Any word on how they will get the first 4 back? Do you know if you will be able to pick your base or is it going to be new york? If I remember right someone had mentioned that they thought FlexJet wanted everyone up in New York area.

As far as flying qualifications go, if you were hired before you meet those requirements. If you went out and got convicted of a felony or two during your time off, you probably no longer meet ordinary hiring standards.

I read the letter to say that being on the furlough list will only get you an interview in the order of seniority. Background check, professional currency, etc.. is all fair game just like the first time you interviewed. It was not a recall letter---it states they are getting ready to hire again.
