update.
flex made a profit last year. staffing levels are where they want them. 2 challengers in 2011 another 12 in 2012, possible upgrades and recalls later this year. they are going into a modest growth mode. so all of you waiting for a callback, i think it will be in the summer so they can get you trained, hope to see ya soon.

Thanks for the update. Question for you.
After April, all furlough agreements will have expired. So, did anybody say recall, or do you think it will be new hire?
I'm sure there were some in the 85 that they don't want back, so I wonder if this would be the way around recalling.

I agree with you about the cost. But,, I believe everyone that comes back would have to go through basic indoc again. I easily could be wrong. But I remember training manuals from other places in days gone by stipulating something about after a year or two you had to do the whole kit and kaboodle again. So,, 30 days it may be!!
Again,, thanks for taking the time to update us unwashed!

I was told by TC himself that they'd just go right down the list when they need to start hiring again. I'm not so sure that day will ever come, however. Flex's future doesn't look so hot. Hope I'm wrong.

What is the word at Flex? NJA is having their own managment vs. labor battle and I think the whole NJA buying Flex rumor has been cast aside for awhile..
Are you all hearing anything or any wild rumors over there? We have a few furlough rumors going on at NJA but that is all a threat to get into the CBA.

Boy, I hope you are wrong too. It was a fun place to work. Good to hear that TC is planning on just calling down the list if they need guys again. I guess I better not change my phone number
