The replacement forum is right around the preverbial corner.
Remember that your free to leave at any time when a job is no longer for you. Vote with your feet!

On a side note, what is the unions position on brand partners flying and outside charter? Serious question

The Flight Options contract allows for X amount of outside charter and the amount may vary based on current furloughs and other variables that I'm not privy to at the moment. But as a basic answer to your question, there is language that allows for charter while protecting the jobs of the pilots of the planes that the owners signed up to fly on in the first place. This is called scope protection. It's odd that you ask such a question as a Flexjet or Flight Options pilot. If you work for either of these companies, wouldn't you want as much flying as possible kept under the DAC umbrella? Or do you work for a company outside of DAC?

Interviewing At Flexjet

Back to the hiring topic......I'm confused still how they can be hiring if there are people just put on the street. I was just contacted about doing an interview. If you wish message me the in's and out's of Flex as of today. Thanks

Do you really believe the red label pilots work harder? B------t!

You admit that the Red Label pilots are underpaid, but seek to be paid the same? You must have misspoke/typed.
Equal pay for the same job.....yes
Equal pay for different jobs.....no
I don't feel that Red Label pilots work anymore than a typical line pilot. Do Lear pilots work more than Global pilots? Do you want equal pay no matter the plane you're on?
UPS did this and made the 74 become the junior airplane.

I know what the contract says, I was just curious to your and the unions opinion. A unions response is normally "hell no, all flying is done by our pilots!"

Red Label is Not a new concept like the propogand machine likes to portray it. FO started with the concept of N number assigned pilots. I for one actually liked it.

Hearsay......I have been told that the sales people only offer Red Label to new prospect clients except into the Phenom. So of course you will see an influx into Red Label if that is all they are pushing!!!! Also the 20 percent year over year growth that they talked up a few months ago was from kicking owners out of their FO contracts and placing them in the Phenoms which are being sold under the Flexjet brand (which are still FO). If there was any real growth we would have been actively hiring months ago.

Over 100 pilots have quit in the last year. Or been fired.

With the airlines hiring like wildfire I can understand why....

I didn't leave out any of your details. The post asked what Red Label is. I explained it as it is.
As for your comments, I can't speak for the Red Label Challengers Legacys and Lears, but the Global's aren't making wads of cash as you say. They are paid average at best for a Global PIC and the bonuses have been scarce since 90 and 91 have spent more time in MX than flying.
As for Yammer, the company could grow thicker skin, but the pilots should also find a non company source to whine and complain.
The company doesn't like the union idea and neither do half or more of the pilots......but I find it hard to see how Ken could create a marketing sales "gimmick" to wamfoozle the union and also make wads of cash and sales.

The majors are hiring if you want out!

Correct me please if I'm wrong. 50 percent or MORE of the pilots wanted a union, or there would be NO union. Lol

No, I did not misspeak. The nature of the process dictates two steps. The arbitration will result in a merged contract, which will then be the basis for section 6. If you were paying any attention at all, you would know this. So the first step is parity. And your second comment about types is ludicrous, and is no where implied in my post.

That is correct and that includes all of the votes bought by KR by promoting those from the bottom into captain positions. They still lost albeit by a very slim margin.

Dutch1 08-12-2017 09:15 AM

They did buy some votes, but those final proposals show their real intentions.
