CFI Course
#2
I'm thinking about doing the same thing. My plan is to get the writtens out the way, take the spin lesson, fly right seat for practice, go through some standard prep materials like oral guides, fars, etc., and then in late summer (I work a lot) go take the week long CFI course. I was thinking about the 2 week do-it-all MEI/II course but I work too much.

Study study study, then try teaching someone that has no idea about flying and see how well they come out. Got to keep it entertaining in the real world, but for the FAA/DPE, all business.

Be careful with ATP in DAB. I have heard bad things from CFI guys who just went there, namely, it didn't take 2 weeks, more like 6! Very disorganized as they have just started up. Not sure if the other locations live up the standards they set for themselves, but just be aware...
