Default Accelerated CFI Courses?

I know this has been mentioned alot, but I would like to hear from those of you that did their CFI in an accelerated course, where did you go and would you recommend it? I have been trying to start at my local field, but they are low on instructors and have not been able to start me yet( this has been going on for a month).

You're responses would be appreciated,
Joey

After two nightmarish attempts to get my initial CFI (at two different FSDOs), I finally got it done at Skylink Aviation in St. Louis.

You need to show up with your written and spin endorsement completed. They have a 5 day CFI program with a DPE checkride, NOT the usual FSDO reaming. When I attended (in 1998), the DPE was the chief pilot at the University of Illinois' aviation program. A nice guy and a no-stress ride.

Regards,
Ken

ATP - don't waste your time at an FBO.

LAFF,

Seriously.......get another hobby besides recommending a program which you've never participated in. I applaud your altruistic efforts, but I believe the original question was directed towards people with actual experience.
