I ask this as someone with a squeaky clean record (other than one simple speeding ticket) who wants to keep it that way.
More so than the others, DAL is known to be particular about quantitative background metrics (GPA, checkrides, moving violations, DUI's, etc).

The other bigs are not far behind them, but DAL is probably most particular. Don't get any more tickets, two might be one too many.

Thanks Rick! The one ticket I got was almost 6 yrs ago and I seriously doubt it would show up on any BG check since it was dismissed in exchange for me paying $50 court costs.

That being said I'd NEVER bet my career on the 1% chance of it being found, and always report it on all my apps.

On that note, is there a particular service that I can do a BG check on myself that would let me see exactly what the airlines (majors) would?

Nothing to hide of course, but with so many errors and carelessness, id want to make sure to correct any errors.

There are many background check services available online. The gotcha with that is just because one service didn't find something, it doesn't mean a different service will not. But it's worth running one, just to make sure there's no gross errors or identity theft out there. I know one guy who was surprised to learn he had several criminal convictions in another town... turns out someone (actually ex-girlfriend's husband) had been using his identity for years. Finally came to light because my buddy was ex-military and the fed had his real fingerprints on file.

I’d be concerned if you didn’t have at least one speeding ticket. Of course, society and younger generations are becoming more and more risk averse, so I’m probably old school on this.
