Default Time Building Partner Wanted

Hi
Looking to build about 140 hours to get to ATP mins.
Anyone interested in spliting the time with me please let me know.
Currently have access to 172’s near KPIT and KEWR for $130-140 wet. Willing to go to your location if need be.

I don't understand the purpose of splitting time in a 172? It doesn't save you any money or time. If anything you're basically going to be sat in the cockpit for double the amount of time to get your required hours.

One pilot acts as safety pilot to allow both pilots to simultaneously log PIC. Other pilot is under the hood.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. And there is no limit to how much safety pilot time or 'under the hood' time you can log?

No limit, but for each flight, both pilots shouldn't end the flight with the same amount of time logged. Taxi, takeoff, & landing times are not under the hood and therefore it's only single pilot for those portions.
