Default CFI Reinstatement

Yep, let all my instructor ratings expire years ago and I’m going to reinstate them by taking a check ride. Anyone in the GEORGIA area recently go through this. Any recommendations?

Mine were lapsed 25 years and called a DPE long-time buddy of mine and it was over in an hour.

Usually the CFI-I is the easiest to prepare for. Minimal maneuvers, and you should know the basics anyway. Really just dusting off the six pack and partial panel. Can do a lot of that in an FTD/PC.

As you probably know, taking one will renew all that you previously held.
