I just got my A330 FAA type rating trough a CCQ with US Air and I have to say that I was very pleased with them. They found a sim partner which similar experience and we worked great together. Training facilities are indeed excellent. We were trained by Ron Maness himself. He is very professional and a gentlemen throughout. I can only recommend US Air for training; excellent people and reasonable price.

Bit old topic but anyways.
I have tried to send message for Ronald, but it's seems that he is not in charge anymore.
Email was rejected. Anybody knows who is in charge and contact details?

Thanx.

Does USA require a type rating like SWA?

In charge of what? I assume you are looking to contact someone involved with contract training? Or is it something else?

No. No type rating required to apply, interview, or be hired. A full PIC type rating without the "SIC privileges only" limitation is earned upon successful completion of the AQP qualification curriculum at the in-house company training facility at a total cost to you of zero dollars.

I be missing something, but why event bother on the cost of a type rating for USA? If you don't have to pay for it & it's included in your training.....I'm just saying.

Hi

1)Does anyone if US Airways like other TRTO's ( Pan AM , Flight Safety etc ) is capable of sponsoring foreigners on an M1 visa to do a type rating with them ?

2) Or is it possible to do a type rating with them on B1 visitor visa ?

3) Do they offer type ratings on the E175 ? If they do any idea on what is the cost involved ?

Thanks
