Default ATP on A320 with no previous experience

Hello there,

I'm a foreign national B737 first officer.

I'm going to the US to get FAA ATP and was supposed do my ATP practical on B737, but my flight school asked me to do on A320 instead due to slot shortage. I don't know how it works but they said it's okay.
I don't have A320 type rating and never flew it before.
I will have just 9 hours in sim since I'm taking short (reduced) course for experienced pilot.

Can anyone who did the same share your experience or any advice if it's doable option?

Thank you very much in advance.

I never flew an Airbus until I upgraded into it as a captain, it’s very normal in the US. That’s a really short course, but doable. You’re income, they are going to want to find ways to pass you, not fail a foreign cash cow.

Entirely possible if the examiner is part of a canned Eco system... ie you'll only get tested on what you were trained on.

That's a reasonable explanation. Thank you.

Rickair, I remember you answered my question before.
Thank you this time again.
