Flight School COVID Precautions?
What are flight schools that are still training these days doing to prevent the spread or infection of COVID?
I started training before the pandemic, then stopped and wanted to go back to continue training for a career. How safe is it to train these days, especially for the 35 to 45 age group while caring for elderly family members?

When the virus first made the news and everyone was freaking out we started wiping down and spraying disinfectant in the planes between every flight. Masks were also encouraged.
We’re still doing that but now that the virus has been here for over 6 months and we understand it better all our flight students are back.
Pretty much everyone knows someone or multiple people who has had the virus. Some people I know have had very mild symptoms while others have said it sucked but no one feared for their life.
I think everyone at this point is ready to just get on with things. Death is inevitable. In a best case scenario people live a good life, grow old, slow down and then eventually get sick and die. This year a lot of those people that were going to die from something died from COVID.

I am a student at a flight school in NJ--they are taking precautions and it is very much appreciated. Initially they required us to wear both masks and gloves in the plane, and would disinfect between every flight. The gloves are no longer required but we are still wearing masks and disinfecting in between lessons. At this point, the only time I flew WITHOUT a mask on was for my Intro Flight last year, so it's pretty much all I know.
They are also keeping the # of people inside to a minimum--people are only coming in to use the bathroom and debrief in the classrooms (table is wiped down after each use).
