Default Best Flight Computer for Commercial test

Any suggestions on the best electronic flight computer ..... to use on the commercial and ATP written ????

I put off buying one of those things for years, and recently bought the ASA one for $80. No complaints. It has larger digits than sportys and has a nice solid feel to it although I think sportys is a tad more useful.

I use the Sporty's. It has a wide variety of functions and its use is pretty intuitive.

Electronic E6B is to E6B as Calculator is to Abacus. Well maybe not quite that extreme but close.

sporty battery powered E6B, I had to learn the manual way when I did my Private but its been so long I forgot to how to use it.

WHIZWHEEL!!!!!

My flightschool didn't let us use the electronic ones and I'm kind of glad they did this. I have an ASA electronic one and I couldn't use it in the plane safely. Took too much thinking. My old aluminum one was much easier to use in the cockpit and was close enough to do the job.

Mine didn't have a problem with using electronic ones, but I just never broke down and bought one. The CR-2 or CR-3 are phenomenal when you learn all of the tricks, and with some practice you can get faster on one of them than most people can on their electronic flight computers. Just don't leave them in the car window, they get mighty warped.
