Question Systems Training Software

Anyone familiar with the Systems Training Software for the Cessna Skyhawk that is advertised in the latest edition of Sporty's, pg 77? Worth the money, good training aid? Thanks!

Looks like pretty neat software but I would honestly save 90 bucks and just read through the POH and study up on the systems chapters in the Pilots Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge.

They are FREE

$90??? JEEZ.

Read your POH, pay particular attention to the Limitations, Systems Descriptions and the appendix.

Thanks for the info. I am pretty familiar with the systems myself, I was just thinking of using it for instruction. Thought it may increase the effectiveness of learning as opposed to drawing it out on a napkin. The programs I have seen at a couple of airlines I have worked for and Flight Safety really made me understand the systems a lot better, and I could actually see what happend in abnormal situations. What I am really asking is the opinions of ppl who have actually used the software and if it would allow me to use the software as many airlines and corporate training outfits do to help in the understanding of normal and abnormal situations of the various systems.

Honestly, it's a 172. Even with the 172R or 172S/SP models with the injection, they are still super simple and I honestly think it would be a waste of money unless you have a student that has an apparent learning problem that maybe the visual aids can fix. Personally that is your job as the instructor to determine, but you should also be able to find a cheaper and more practical means of doing so(IE The POH and a chalk-board). Still having problems, then the trouble student should purchase their own version of the program if it comes to that. Just my 2 cents, it's a 172, not a sophisticated and complicated jet/turbo-prop with dozens of systems.
