Cubdriver, I couldn't find those posts. My mistake! I guess I just read it wrong when they canceled the CFI school for all but ACPP students.

Also, APC has been loading very well lately. Thanks Dog Breath!

Now, if only the regionals would catch on. I often wonder why they do not resort to putting pilots on salary?

Its called being mature enough to know you do what youhave to to pay the bills. But if you have never been in a situation where you have "had" to pay bills you wouldnt understand

If you work full time at min. wage you get $880/month before taxes. I'd rather instruct.

Default ATP Instructing

Although ATP does not pay nearly as much as other flight schools, I'm betting that you get alot more hours as well as multi-engine time...Also ATP gives you the CRJ course for free after working there for a certain amount of time (I believe it is 6 months not sure, and it might just be for ACPP students who chose to instruct with them)... This seems like a pretty good deal to me... Money is always nice fellas but remember that most of us fly because we enjoy flying... I have been reading alot of these posts where people are constantly complaining about lack of pay and I look at is this way, I would be more than happy to be paid for flying instead of having to pay to fly....

Perhaps. But, you will want to be able to live when you take the pay cut your first three years. Get paid well, get debt free, then take the job. You will like it a lot more. Flying is always more fun, and the career much more enjoyable, when you don't HAVE to work like a slave in order to make the rent. Put yourself in a better position to be happy and you won't be as bitter as some of these cats on here who whine and complain all the time about the money.

ACPP students pay for the RJ course as part of the 55K price, it's part of the program. They also are paid $400/mo more than a non-ACPP CFI.

You'll take a nice pay cut when you start at a regional.
