Default Flight Schools in New England

Anybody have any skinny on flight schools in the Connecticut area. My son lives in the New Haven area and would like to get his PPL. Looking at New Haven, Bridgeport, and Meridian area. Thanks.............

No he's all done with college and a graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in computer science and now works for a hedge fund in greenich. He just want to get his PPL. I asked him once if if wanted to fly for the airline to which his reply was No I'd rather own the company than fly for it. Maybe one day......

Up at Hartford Brainard...it's called CT flight academy...formerly known as Metro Flight Services...if you ask for either Terry, Steve or Henry, you will meet some of the best flight instructors around. I would highly reccomend this school to anyone in the CT area...they do primary training in either Piper warriors or Piper tomahawks...anyone who can fly a tomahawk can fly anything...www.metroflightct.com....
avoid places like Daniel Webster College...they will over charge you ($160/hr for a C172) and since no one will instruct for them you will sit on a wait list for a few semesters...

Thanks for the info. Several of my captian buddies and I were talking late one night during a hub turn and this field was mentioned. He went to check it out but not necessarily this particular flight school. Just emailed him this info.

Again he works for a hedge fund and lives just south of meridian, CT. He just wants to get his PPL and is not looking to get rating to go airlines.

I saw give me an excuse to buy another airplane.............
