Default I got my license today.

Hi everybody, I finally got my private pilot's license today. I did my oral yesterday, and had to cancel the rest because of the weather. I finished my check ride today. Took off from KPWG to KLFK, he had me fly over my first two check points, then diverted me to KCNW. Did some STO/L, and soft field T/O and landing at KCNW. Then did some ground ref, slow flight, stalls, unusual altitude, hood etc. It was easy.

Congratulations! I'll be taking my test next summer, so I have a while to wait.

Congrats! I took my oral almost two weeks ago and still haven't done the flight due to wx cancellations. So hopefully Wednesday I can make a similar post (Assuming I'm not too rusty from only two flights in the last two months).

Congratulations, longbow. We (well, at least I) have been following your progress over the last year and I'm glad to see you finally get it. My timeline must be longer than the young ones here because I was determined to be in your position 12 months ago! I still have faith, just not much free time any more.

Same thing here, I was suppose to take mine on the 2nd, but had to cancel, then did my oral yesterday, but wx was bad, so had to cancel, and did the flight part today. Good luck to you.

I remember missing several weeks of flying waiting for stage checks and weather, etc. Now I feel strange if I miss a couple of days. Congrats.

Congrats, getting your PPL is a big step in your aviation career. Today I'm off to take the Oral portion of my CFI-A. Thank god its not an Initial with all the Fundamentals of Instruction stuff but it's still not going to be a walk in the park. Four hours of teaching to a DPE isn't exactly what i classify as fun.

Its horrible, enjoy. Kidding, its not fun but its not as bad as people make it out to be.

And congrats on the private, now its time to really start learning some things...
