Please forward this message to the Delta flight crews, especially out west, where John continues to have many long time friends.
Captain John Croy, retired Delta Air Lines (former Western Airlines), had surgery on Monday, the 14th of January, to repair a heart valve. John's many friends here at Southwest Airlines Pilot Training Center wanted to let you know that John is having complications as a result of this surgery and remains in the ICU. The prognosis for a full recovery at this time is doubtful. John's contribution to the training of Southwest Airline Flight Crew's and to the administration of the Training Department in his current position of "Simulation Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance" cannot be overstated. He is ,without a doubt, a most capable and knowledgeable aviator who's friendly demeanor proved invaluable to the overall training of our flight crews.
We hope you will join us as we keep John and his family in our prayers and wish him a speedy recovery by the grace of our Lord.
Yours Truly
