Why pay to take the ATP practical when the company will pay for it when you upgrade?

Cool

There is an ATP location there that does mostly ATP certs, but like pip said, if you are over ATP minimums why not just wait to upgrade? The accelerated ATP program from ATP flight school costs anywhere from $2400 to $4000.... thats a good chunk to pay when its something that will be given to you by your airline... (unless its eagle, cause you might be waiting a while)....

What's the name of the place? I checked atpflightschool.com and there are no Illinois locations listed for them.

Thanks

They used to have a location in the Chicagoland area as recent as last November but it looks as if they closed that location. A couple of guys in my training class went there to take their ATP written exam.
