You will get good contacts from either. That being said, probably 80-90% of my Purdue class are at majors. Doubt if ERAU can say that.
sorry to hear that!....

If you end up at ERAU, be sure to check out the fine ladies at Stetson University. It's a highly under-utilized crop of women in ERAU's backyard.
Just a quick 20 minute drive down the road, and packed with gorgeous, wealthy, private university girls who crowd the bars in Deland every weekend. You'll meet many fine women there when the "airport hot" girls at ERAU get old.

I did Riddle and I regret it. Go to a state university. I think an aviation degree does not do much for your career. The only thing worthwhile at aviation orientate schools is the internships and job programs.

Here's the important facts

PURDUE
Men: 17,383
Women: 11,813
Male/female ratio: 1.47:1

E/R Daytona
Men: 3,406
Women: 687
Male/female ratio: 4.95/1

E/R Prescott
Men: 1,212
Women: 254
M/F 4.77/1

Personally I think your a lot better off going to a school with a great reputation outside aviation as well. esp. if you decide not to fly.

They're much smarter than you think

The people telling you to go to a state university and do your ratings on the side are the smart ones. Your certificate doesn't say where you went and there's no requirement in this industry that you have to have an "Aviation" degree. Do yourself a favor and get a degree in something universal like communication or management in case this industry tanks, or something prevents you from flying like a loss of medical.

I spent an extra year at St. Louis U (Parks is the aviation/engineering school) and got a second degree from the business school. I may never use it but having that fall-back makes me a lot more confident about the future.

St. Louis University
Male 5,190 42%
Female 7,119 58%
