do not go to erau, they are snobs, since when did you need a 4 year degree to make $14 and hour flight instructing? WHAT you need a masters to make $22? so 6 years in college and about $100k getting private through MEI not even living expenses for all 7-8 years you were working on all that. why would anyone want to work for such elitists?

Not to get into a flame war but everyone has pro's and con's. Riddle has plenty of money to put into overly thorough training. They are far from a place to just get the certificate. If you graduate from there with a $100,000 degree, you may not have much to show for it but you will shine as far as a pilot.
It's really up to the person.
If you want to be the best pilot at low time you can be or wait learn the things on the way, its up to each person. Riddle wont make you a better pilot, they will just not pass you until you are.
That's what the Riddle CFI's are trained to do.

He shows his ignorance by calling all ERAU students snobs and elitist's. Judge for yourself. BTW, I am an "Riddle-Raider".
Captain B-777, B-767, B-757, B-727 and a bunch more.

That was for the summer. The student load is not as big during the summer compared to fall/spring. Now hear this. They are going to start scheduling your students for you in their registered flight blocks. Most, if not all, instructors here are pretty ****ed about it. It's going to be a big pain in the arse until they realize that the lady that works at scheduling will hang herself unless the management takes this decision and throw it in the trash.

Is there any CFIs on here with current info about ERAU, specifically the Prescott campus? There's a CFI position posted online and I'd like to hear any experiences.
Also, I read in a previous post that if you teach with them they will pay for graduate tuition. Is that still true or was that a rumor?

It is what it is... I'm NOT an ERAU fan, and they're real particular on a few things, but it was all-in-all a good place to be. A few of my "colleagues" even stayed to be lifers...

Take a look at Florida Tech in Melbourne, FL. Starting pay is $21, $23 for MEI. Same hours, same type of flying, better town, better pay. I believe they have adds on climbto350.com. they are hurting for instructors last I heard.
