The FOI will probably be one of the fastest and easiest written exams you will ever take. Only about 200 questions from the bank and you get 50. At my school, most people are done in 5-10 minutes usually getting 98 or 100%, so no worries. The FIA is a little more in depth and covers a very wide range of material - however, it really is just an over glorified Commercial Written

For me, it took a few flights to learn how to fly from the right seat, it was a very different experience. Then at one point, everything clicked and it was just like flying normally. Most people usually describe a similar transition.

As far as the pass rate, my school actually has a pretty high pass rate... although the challenge is apparently getting the endorsement for the exam - thats where most people have trouble. The oral exam could possibly be the hardest one you ever take and can cover absolutly EVERYTHING. And not only everything, but you have to be able to TEACH everything too. Good luck! Its a difficult course but you will know so much more, so much better when you are done.

I think ATP only hires internally, at least right now thats what their website says.
