If you are looking on the east side of Washington, Pasco has a Seneca II for $280 an hour. Comes equipped with a GNS 430 and current databases unfortunately it does not have boots.

And, as Sundog mentioned most places are going to be looking for at least 25 hrs of make and model before they let you rent the aircraft. Which once again should not be a problem since you are trying to build time anyway.

Good luck.

Have you actually done this at Aviator? How can you possible get 100 hours of multi time for $8,000???

Easy...Safety Pilot time!

If two pilots are each paying $8K for the same hundred hours, it works out to $160/hr...which is about the going rate for a duchess.

Also the package might require that you knock out the time in two weeks or so...cramming a lot of flying into a short period is very efficient for the owner. Most twins maybe average one flight each day.

Okay, yeah that makes sense if you are splitting it with another person. It just seemed like it had some catch to it. And I wish the Duchess I flew was $160/hour!!! All the ones I could find were more like $200.

Unfortunately, people like me who have full-time jobs to pay for their ratings can't cram 100 hours of flight time into a short period.

fjetter: there is a place near Annapolis, Maryland that has a time building program. Trident Aircraft There isn't much information on their website, but I'm pretty sure they have a twin time building in a Beechraft Duchess for under $100 per hour. Might be worth a phone call, hope this helps!

BTW: I think the CP's name is John or Jim, or something like that.
