The Airway Less Traveled
A few things you might want to think about first:
1. How are you going to pay for it?
2. Where do you want to do your flight training?
3. Do you want to train full-time or part-time?
4. What is the time frame you are looking to finish your ratings in?
4. Have you visited the schools?
Consider this: you can get just as good of training closer to home as you could going to some high brow Part 141 school like FlightSafety Academy or PanAm Academy or AllATP and save yourself a lot of money! I mean A LOT! So look closely at what your options are. Flying for a living is great! Even in this economic downturn and all the instability of the airline industry, I am still glad I did it. But...would I do it again knowing what I know now? Probably. But what is your answer? Only you can say!
