Default AGI Question

I've already completed my FOI and AGI knowledge test, as well as filled out the appropriate 8710-1 form, and I know the Advanced Ground Instructor Certificate does not require a practical test, however I have a question.

Do the Aviation Safety Inspector's ever try to give an oral exam before issuing the certificate? As I see it, this would constitute a practical test, which is not required for the AGI certificate.

It isn't like I'm not prepared or anything, I'd just like to have a general idea before I head to the FSDO.

Thanks.

There is no oral exam involved. Try using IACRA for 8710, makes things much easier and the FSDO prefers it.

Good Luck

There won't be an exam. Using IACRA would be better because you don't have to physically interact with the FAA. If you go to the FSDO though you'll just stand at the counter and they'll do the paperwork and off you go.
