I'm pretty sure he was a student at NPA, and I can confirm most of the things he's said here. I could never in my right mind recommend NPA to any prosperous student.

Yeah he does sound like a past student but he also sounds like someone who didnt make it through their system and has to blame it on someone or something except himself. I cant find anything on the internet about what he has said so it kind of sounds like spiteful rumors from an angry student that has failed their course...

Just be sure do do really good research.

There are people out there who are NOT interested in training you to be a safe pilot... they are only interested in your money. Anyone who requires you to pay up front for training probably falls into that category. I stand among a dozen+ people who would say the same thing, but I chose to make it public ignoring the threats of this so called "school". So then, take anything we "bashers" write with a grain of salt if you choose. Just realize that there are other things we could be doing with our time right at this moment, instead we're taking time to try to help you...

I was a student at NPA. It was possibly the worst mistake of my life, but I learned more there in life lessons than you can imagine.

I am now a CFI at a very successful 141 and VA approved school. We train individuals to be successful, safe and knowledgeable pilots. I cannot say the same thing regarding the school we are debating in this thread.

Be safe and fly safe. Flying is a hazardous business best approached by a method that does not include "how fast".

 

Stay away from NPA. They just closed their doors and took everyones money. They are out of business and took my money.

 

Everything that anyone has said on here, claiming what a joke this place is is absolutly correct. The post that say otherwise are just post by the owners or their puppets. I went to NPA and when they closed I lost thousands of dollars. Anyone that can defend them is a crook, worse off they have no problem sleeping at night knowing that they stole thousands from students that adherded to their program and gave it their all. Claims that students didn't commit to the program are false, why would anyone spend thousands and just throw it away. I hope they never do go back into bussiness, there are enough crooks in the government, we don't need them in schools.

Tucson flight school cites economy for sudden closure

Utah-based pilot-training academy closed its doors, leaving students in Tucson and other states in fear that company officials bailed out without returning hefty tuition fees.

In a March 10 memo e-mailed to flight instructors and other staff, National Pilot Academy made a terse announcement. “Due to economic conditions and the banking crisis National Pilot Academy will be temporarily closing,” wrote Cole Faddis, an official at the company headquarters in Cedar City, Utah. He said the company was working to resolve the situation, and “more information will be provided as it is available.”
