1. Go to High School. Take English. Insist they teach you grammar and spelling. (If you've already graduated from High School, go back to your High School. Sue them.)

2. Next, get a Bachelor's Degree in something from a major College or University. I'm not sure what an Arts and Craft course has to do with flying for AA, but be sure to major in something you can pass. If collage is what you can handle, then go for it. "A man's gotta know his limitations."

3. You'll figure the rest out by the time you finish the first two.

I think it is so rude to critisize someone about their grammer. Just because you see typos on here doesnt mean the person cant read. I type very fast and may make some typos. I dont always have time to proof read before I hit the send button.

Also, this board is full of synics. People like me come on here to seek advice not to get ridiculed.

Do you mean criticise? It is very difficult to take someone seriously when they consistently make grammatical and spelling errors. No one is perfect, but it only takes a second to read over what you just wrote.

Also realize that AA has a TON of pilots furloughed right now, and that it could be years before they are all recalled or given the chance to come back.

With most of the "gravy" jobs in this industry you have to be the right person, at the right place, at the right time. Work hard, do your homework regarding the industry, make friends in the industry, and know where the right places are to be at any given time and try to be there.

My biggest pet peeve is that people don't know when to use "then" and "than". You see that mistake on these boards all the time, and it isn't a typo.

This is what was in my mind when I made my "employ the English language" statement. But yes, I suppose I am a bit of an ass...

LOL does this question make any sense to anybody? What does taking classes have in relation to going to the military to become a pilot? Why don't you solo first in your cessna then come back and talk to us about flying for money. Also military isn't training for the airlines keep that in mind, you're going there for a career as an officer first.
