Default FSX yoke recommendations?

Looking for recommendations on an affordable yet reliable yoke for laptop flying Flight Simulator X. Regularly see one around $150. Don't need rudders. Thanks.

Read the reviews on Amazon. That's what I did.

i have tried both the yoke and the joystick and personally prefer a good joystick because you really do get a nice 3D feel for it. Plus it doesn't take a lot of room and is less messy. It is strictly a matter of preference, and if you are going to invest some money, I would highly recommend you try them both. As for the rudder pedals, nah, I didn't care much for them either. A good joystick should do the trick IMHO.

Get a joystick. FSX's flight dynamics aren't accurate enough to justify buying an expensive yoke. I recommend Logitech.

I have and X52 and love it, but it's not a yoke.

Logitech just came out with this:

I prefer and use the Saitek Premium flight yoke and 3-lever quadrant module. I also have the Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals."

Works for me!!!!

I haven't played FlightSim for a few months now- no time- but when I used a yoke (borrowed) I couldn't get a "feel" for where the controls were, i.e. how far in or out for pitch, etc. A stick is much better as you know where your hand and wrist are when you are using the control. Not quite as authentic but works better.
