Hi all
I am currently taking the PPL lesson right now. And I looked at the major airline's FO position. They often required a certain type rating and a min time in that kind of aircraft. I know how to get a type rating, but I am not sure how to get a min time in that aircraft if you never had a chance to apply for a FO job since you don't have a min time in the plane?

There is only one US airline that requires a type in their equipment and they don't expect you to have any time in type.
Many foreign airlines want the type and time, they're looking for someone to sign on at the end of a contract. Right now they can find what they want, a while back some were giving 777 types to pilots with 767 time in type. It's all what the market will bare.
