It does kind of suck when your first real experience at ERAU involves walking into your new dormroom for the first time - seeing your Scandanavian pink-shirt wearing with aviator sunglasses roommate showing his friends how far he can get a banana down his throat....with "highway to the danger-zone" playing in the backround.
On another note, I actually had to go by there recently... I don't know what changed in 5 years, but I actually saw a couple decent looking girls walking around (no, really!) - maybe it's some recruiting scheme - I don't know

Well if your done cleaning up your breakfast/lunch/dinner that you regurgitated then I'll tell you that I get paid 24k / yr to fly warriors. Dinky little warriors. One-hundred and sixty heart pounding horsepower. One of our warriors even has a gps and wheel pants. Oh wait, that was just for the nose gear though. So thats like what? +2 knots? PA-28 FTW. Whats really wrong with this industry is that customers want to pay as little as possible for a ticket. They don't understand that a cheap ticket = pay pilots less, pay FAs less, pay MX less, etc, etc. If the flying public new how much a priviledge flying was they'd dress up like they used to and pay for a ride in a technological masterpiece. And so we go totally off topic. Go ERAU. yay.

I'm a bit out out of touch with that segment of the market, but $24K a year isn't too bad to (presumably) instruct in a warrior IF you have full benefits provided in addition to that gross. Certainly not great, but if I have it figured correctly, not too awful bad (actually, it sucks, but given where we are today, not too bad).
As I recall, I made about $17K + health, dental, life, ect when I was instructing full time back in 1990. If I guess (and it's just that, a guess) correctly, you are coming out about the same IF you have the benefits with the package.
My real attitude comes not from what you are making now, but from your statement:
Hopefully you were exaggerating for effect. If not, this is exactly the attitude often known as "SJS." If you are willing to prostitute yourself to fly an airplane, then you are indeed part of the problem. I truly hope you are more dedicated than the many who simply envisioned a quick shot from a "zero to hero" program, skipping over the kind of work I'm guessing you are now doing. With that in mind, I hearken back to a mantra from one of my former colleagues - KDA:
Know - what you are worth
Demand - that level of compensation
Accept - nothing less
There will always be one hundred (or thousand) idiots claiming you can be replaced by the next guy on the street. They will ultimately get what they pay for (you pay peanuts, you get monkeys). Don't be the monkey, don't even talk like you'd consider it (which is what I gleaned from your original post). Stand up for what you are worth - be it CFI'ing in a Warrior or flying an RJ, don't settle for less than what you deserve. That's all I'm saying. Your comment sounded like you were happy to have anything, regardless of compensation or QOL; that's all.

Well said. Especially when your $100,000 blue card (aka ATP) can be revoked for missing a destination by an hour. The responsibility is real and very large - so should the pay. Risk = Reward.

Alright, since you ppl are focusing so much on my statement of "doesn't matter what it pays" then let me clarify its original intent. I was basically saying "I don't need to tell you how much I get paid over an internet forum but that in fact I have a job flying airplanes in such a crappy industry." AKA nun-ya biz. But too late for that now. And to drive the point home, I would never, ever, fly a 1900 for 16/hr at 70hrs /month. I think its absolutly ridiculous along with all the other FO regional payscales.
