Save the long XCs when you get to the airlines. At your stage you need to be learning how to fly a plane first. You do that by repetition. Practicing maneouvers and approaches and takeoffs and landings. Any monkey can sit in a seat for 2 hours. Don't know if Florida to Washington runs does you any favor except to build your time faster wth minimal experience.

For someone learning any time in an airplane (provided you aren't asleep) is valuable. I agree actually doing something is more valuable than sitting there , but it does build your times towards the requirements and keeps you on-track to complete in 90 days.
